There were many pleasant things that came with John’s visit to Toronto last weekend, one of which came in a 3×4 box of chocolate from Peterborough independent, Naked Chocolate.
Made with a higher concentration of cocoa butter, it melts in your mouth just long enough for you to realize what you’ve just eaten: something handmade. John tells us that the chocolatier makes everything in-house, and then my parents and I are bent over studying the legend. Cinnamon and marzipan. Chai tea. Curry coconut cream. And “lime hickey” – a lime and tequila one that is glazed green.
Thanks John for bringing a bit of Peterborough!
